Price and availability

Japan Club Moflin is an annual paid support-discount subscription: ¥6,600 including tax, covering up to three registered Moflin. This is a service membership, not evidence a subscription is needed for basic robot operation.

How much do we really
know?

Separate our own tests from published claims and the limits of the evidence. The counts below describe records, not performance or confidence scores.

01 / The assessment

What the evidence supports.

Capability and readiness are separate. These written findings are not a numerical rating or a physical test.

Capability

What can it actually do?

The specific maker claims and any independent observations are listed below. We have not run our own task tests on this robot.

Read the source-based assessment

Readiness

Could you use it in real life?

Intended use: Touch and sound response. Dependable everyday use has not been established by the evidence reviewed. Judge the tactile interaction, not chores or wellness claims. Resolve changing finish and accessory specifications separately.

A clear limit

This is a research profile based on the sources below, not a hands-on test. Maker claims remain attributed to the maker; they do not prove repeatable performance in your home or workplace.

Know the exact robot

The name alone may not tell you which hardware, software or support you get. Keep editions and optional equipment separate.

Meet Casio Moflin

Casio’s US page identifies Moflin. It now promotes a pink colour while older specification and FAQ blocks still list silver and gold. Treat colours as variants, not separate robots. Updated Japanese lineup distinguishes PE-M10 with round-DC charging house from PE-M11 with Type-C house (GD/SR/PK). Colour alone is not a safe identifier for supplied charging hardware; no robot-internal or parts compatibility equivalence is established.

04 / Living with it

Right robot, right expectations.

What ownership could involve

Ownership review should focus on charging-bed placement, cleaning the fur, app access and the service route in the buyer’s country. The US warranty description must not be copied into a worldwide promise. The page gives inconsistent bed dimensions, so those dimensions are withheld pending clarification.

Support, software and repairs

Casio’s US support page for PE-M10SR links English and Spanish user guides, startup instructions, charging help, software-update information, care guidance and a repair-admission route. Club Moflin and salon services are separately described. Check regional eligibility: a US or Japanese support route is not proof of a UK warranty or local repair centre.

Questions still open

What needs checking before you decide.

  • No independent interaction trial assessed here.
  • No therapeutic efficacy grade assigned.
  • Bed dimensions conflict within the maker page; pink is absent from older specification blocks.
