Three proposed tasks. Ten attempts at each suitable task, with the outcome, time and human help recorded. Confirm the exact robot, software and safe setup first. These tasks are not evidence that this robot can do them.
Perform one documented movement
Proposed task. 0 of 10 attempts run.
Return to the starting pose on command
Proposed task. 0 of 10 attempts run.
Repeat the movement on a permitted surface
Proposed task. 0 of 10 attempts run.
Pick a square to see what each attempt will record.
We will record the outcome, time, control mode, human help, safety stops, exact hardware and software, conditions and full video.
Proposed attempt; not run Only proceed if the exact unit supports the task and the setup is suitable. Keep remote control, scripted operation and autonomous operation separate. A completed attempt alone does not prove autonomy. What each square will show
Keep the conditions visible
Name the control mode, surface, object or prompt and every intervention. Ten attempts are an initial result, not proof of long-term reliability.

Capability and readiness are separate. These written findings are not a numerical rating or a physical test.
Capability
What can it actually do?
The specific maker claims and any independent observations are listed below. We have not run our own task tests on this robot.
Read the source-based assessmentReadiness
Could you use it in real life?
Intended use: Six-legged movement and grasping. Dependable everyday use has not been established by the evidence reviewed. Separate Pro hardware, gait software and online services. Shared servo names do not establish replacement compatibility.
Read the source-based assessmentThis is a research profile based on the sources below, not a hands-on test. Maker claims remain attributed to the maker; they do not prove repeatable performance in your home or workplace.
02 / Can it actually do it?
The claims, with their context.
The wording below keeps each source’s limits. A demonstration, a maker’s claim and a repeatable real-world result are different things.
Hiwonder claims omnidirectional movement, obstacle navigation, grasping and transport, and Scratch, MicroPython and Arduino support. No task success rate or observed control mode is established.
Source 1Hiwonder’s miniHexa Pro specification lists HPD-0127 and LFD-01 servo model names. It does not identify which joint uses each model or establish part interchangeability; confirm the exact kit and revision before seeking replacements.

Every source keeps its original check date. Manufacturer information, research configurations and independent observations have different limits.

Meet Hiwonder miniHexa Pro
This record is miniHexa Pro, not the separate miniHexa. Hiwonder lists Standard and Advanced Pro kits at different weights; the packing lists are images and their component differences have not been verified. Hardware and firmware revisions are unknown.

04 / Living with it
Right robot, right expectations.
What ownership could involve
Confirm exact Standard or Advanced packing list, arm and AI modules, software versions, compatible phone or PC, source access and required accounts before purchase. The maker describes offline vision but also online multimodal functions; establish connectivity, cloud provider, data retention and costs for each feature. Check battery charging instructions, safe operation, replacement parts and UK support for the delivered revision. Its shipping text lists the UK among eligible regions but does not prove stock or a delivered quote for this kit. Confirm which pieces are already assembled, the arm load limit and the physical stop procedure before a supervised test.
Support, software and repairs
Confirm the exact controller/AI module combination for the selected tier; the page mentions several controller families. HPD0127 and LFD01 servos are listed. Ask for the matching wiring, source code, spare-servo and battery references rather than assuming all miniHexa packages have identical hardware.
Questions still open
What needs checking before you decide.
- No footage watched; control mode and reliability remain unknown.
- Packing list images and differences between kits have not been inspected.
- No selected-kit stock or delivered regional price verified. General shipping text is not an order-specific delivery commitment.
- Do not transfer base miniHexa specifications or manual to the Pro.
