LimX Luna

A full-size humanoid for commercial performances and interaction. It suits managed events; motion and conversation claims do not show dependable work without an operator.

Name the control mode, surface, object or prompt and every intervention. Ten attempts are an initial result, not proof of long-term reliability.

How much do we really
know?

Separate our own tests from published claims and the limits of the evidence. The counts below describe records, not performance or confidence scores.

01 / The assessment

What the evidence supports.

Capability and readiness are separate. These written findings are not a numerical rating or a physical test.

Capability

What can it actually do?

The specific maker claims and any independent observations are listed below. We have not run our own task tests on this robot.

Read the source-based assessment

Readiness

Could you use it in real life?

Intended use: Commercial motion and conversation. Dependable everyday use has not been established by the evidence reviewed. Resolve conflicting weight and cloud-service conditions. A performance platform does not establish household independence.

A clear limit

This is a research profile based on the sources below, not a hands-on test. Maker claims remain attributed to the maker; they do not prove repeatable performance in your home or workplace.

Know the exact robot

The name alone may not tell you which hardware, software or support you get. Keep editions and optional equipment separate.

Meet LimX Luna

LimX Luna is a distinct 160 cm, 27 active-DoF interactive humanoid, not LimX Oli. Its launch says the 27 degrees exclude end effectors. The English product specification lists 56 kg including battery; the Chinese specification lists 54 kg including battery. Resolve this discrepancy against the ordered configuration. No separate hardware generation is verified.

04 / Living with it

Right robot, right expectations.

What ownership could involve

An operator needs a suitable clear performance area, setup and supervision. The manual says keep people at least 1 m away, avoid crowded areas and maintain operator line of sight. Confirm exact delivered software and optional hands, training costs, internet and account requirements, camera and voice data handling, support, replacement batteries and UK warranty. Test voice commands under the intended venue noise and network conditions. The advertised runtime is not a guarantee for sustained dancing.

Support, software and repairs

The table states a twelve-month warranty and OTA updates. LimX Studio motion-capture training requires a subscription. Confirm included hands, battery count, LimX UP/Studio access, cloud terms, repair destination and spare joints; the transport case and programme list should be checked against the chosen package.

Questions still open

What needs checking before you decide.

  • No footage was directly reviewed; neither autonomy nor reliable performance is established.
  • English and Chinese weight figures conflict.
  • Cloud training subscription and optional equipment require a configuration-specific quote.
  • Public UK price, service and actual delivery remain unverified.
