How much do we really
know?

Separate our own tests from published claims and the limits of the evidence. The counts below describe records, not performance or confidence scores.

01 / The assessment

What the evidence supports.

Capability and readiness are separate. These written findings are not a numerical rating or a physical test.

Capability

What can it actually do?

The specific maker claims and any independent observations are listed below. We have not run our own task tests on this robot.

Readiness

Could you use it in real life?

Intended use: Assembly and sensor programming. Dependable everyday use has not been established by the evidence reviewed. Assess the complete classroom kit, not every optional expansion. Assembly and software setup are part of the learning activity.

A clear limit

This is a research profile based on the sources below, not a hands-on test. Maker claims remain attributed to the maker; they do not prove repeatable performance in your home or workplace.

Know the exact robot

The name alone may not tell you which hardware, software or support you get. Keep editions and optional equipment separate.

Robodromo assessment

Desk assessment: 31 October 2026. Source-check dates: 2026-10-27, 2026-10-29, 2026-10-31.

Assess the complete classroom kit, not every optional expansion. Assembly and software setup are part of the learning activity.

What the evidence describes
A build-and-code robot for learners who want hands-on projects. It needs assembly, a compatible device and time to work through the activities.
Human help and setup
An adult or educator may need to prepare devices, charge equipment and guide activities. The exact documented requirements below take precedence.
What remains uncertain
Extensions and third-party compatibility are maker claims, not evidence for a specific part. No independent assembly, task reliability or maintenance assessment.
Readiness
Intended use: Assembly and sensor programming. Dependable everyday use has not been established by the evidence reviewed. Assess the complete classroom kit, not every optional expansion. Assembly and software setup are part of the learning activity.

This is an assessment of documented evidence, not a Robodromo physical test. Unresolved evidence does not mean the robot cannot perform the task. Source material has not been freshly rechecked for this publication.

04 / Living with it

Right robot, right expectations.

What ownership could involve

Allow time for assembly and inventory the components before a lesson. Check the device, software and extra parts needed for each project: an expandable system can create further cost and complexity. UK support, parts and repair availability need checking. Separate mechanical learning from programming in the assessment. A poorly connected motor or incorrectly mounted sensor can make working code appear wrong. Record build time, missing parts and adult interventions before timing a navigation task. A successful example programme is a starting point, not proof that a learner can adapt it to a changed course. For comparison, keep the base kit distinct from demonstrations using extra modules or an external computer camera. Current prices and regional delivery are not verified in this guide.

Support, software and repairs

The direct store states a twelve-month warranty and contiguous-US delivery; use the regional distributor route for other countries. Confirm the exact kit and optional sensors: the advertised expansion ecosystem is not all included in the base box. Check device compatibility, replacement battery and motor availability with the supplying dealer.

Questions still open

What needs checking before you decide.

  • Extensions and third-party compatibility are maker claims, not evidence for a specific part.
