The launch describes a slimmer body, textile covering, upgraded hands and limb-level reflexes. It says Gen 4 is 20% lighter than its predecessor, without giving an absolute mass or a matched comparison configuration.

A newly announced humanoid for development and training facilities. It suits research teams; older specifications and Gen 3.5 reservation prices cannot establish what Gen 4 includes.
Recorded specifications, with their source limits. These are not our measurements. See all specifications and configurations
The reservation page explicitly names Gen 3.5 and lists a €100 reservation and estimated price of €98,000 for 1–19 units excluding taxes and shipping. These are not a verified Gen 4 price or delivery commitment.
A recorded offer can change. Check its source date below and confirm the exact package, delivery region and total cost with the seller.

Three proposed tasks. Ten attempts at each suitable task, with the outcome, time and human help recorded. Confirm the exact robot, software and safe setup first. These tasks are not evidence that this robot can do them.

We will record the outcome, time, control mode, human help, safety stops, exact hardware and software, conditions and full video.
Proposed attempt; not run Only proceed if the exact unit supports the task and the setup is suitable. Keep remote control, scripted operation and autonomous operation separate. A completed attempt alone does not prove autonomy. What each square will show
Keep the conditions visible
Name the control mode, surface, object or prompt and every intervention. Ten attempts are an initial result, not proof of long-term reliability.

What can it actually do?
The specific maker claims and any independent observations are listed below. We have not run our own task tests on this robot.

Could you use it in real life?
Intended use: Training-facility humanoid work. Dependable everyday use has not been established by the evidence reviewed. Gen 4 needs its own specification. Older datasheets and Gen 3.5 reservations do not establish its mass, runtime or supply.
Read the source-based assessmentThis is a research profile based on the sources below, not a hands-on test. Maker claims remain attributed to the maker; they do not prove repeatable performance in your home or workplace.
02 / Can it actually do it?
The claims, with their context.
The wording below keeps each source’s limits. A demonstration, a maker’s claim and a repeatable real-world result are different things.
NEURA reports Gen 4 in use at its gyms and being prepared for series production. The reported box, bottle and wood-handling workflows cover a centre using several robot types; they do not establish every task as a Gen 4 result.
Source 1The product page says Neuron AI runs locally, while the launch describes learned skills shared through Neuraverse. Local execution does not establish that training, telemetry and updates require no external connection.
Source 2The linked June PDF lists 80 kg, 180 cm and 55 degrees of freedom for 4NE1, with application-dependent payload and optional human-detection sensors. These are retained as older family data, not promoted to Gen 4 specifications.

Meet NEURA 4NE1 Gen 4
NEURA explicitly launched 4NE1 Gen 4 on 22 October 2026. It is separate from Gen 3.5, 4NE1 Mini and wheeled or extended-reach configurations in the wider family. The product page mixes a Gen 4 introduction with a general 4NE1 specification block; its linked PDF is V7 dated 5 June 2026, before this launch. Exact applicability is unresolved.

04 / Living with it
Right robot, right expectations.
What ownership could involve
Start with a dated Gen 4 equipment list and supported task, rather than a family-wide brochure. Confirm the hands, sensing package, compute, battery, charger and safety functions actually supplied. A training-centre demonstration should disclose teaching time, data preparation, operator support, resets and what transfers to an unfamiliar site. Ask whether learned skills, camera records and operational data leave the site, how access is controlled, and what works when disconnected. Budget for commissioning, training, integration, spares and specialist support until non-specialist ownership is evidenced. No Gen 4 public price or delivery date was verified in the reviewed material. A textile cover and approachability claim are not evidence of safe contact with children or pets.
Support, software and repairs
The dated announcement establishes a new generation, not a complete production datasheet. Do not reuse Gen 3 dimensions, weight or payload as Gen 4 specifications. Request absolute measurements, battery/runtime, purchased capability set, SDK access, service and delivery terms. Designed for series production does not by itself establish available UK stock or proven task reliability.
Questions still open
What needs checking before you decide.
- Do not calculate a Gen 4 mass by applying 20% to an unverified predecessor specification.
- The older PDF’s 24/7 label is not proof of single-charge endurance or unattended household operation.
- Gen 3.5 reservation terms and accessories do not automatically transfer to Gen 4.
- No original footage was assessed and no task grade is assigned.
