Name the control mode, surface, object or prompt and every intervention. Ten attempts are an initial result, not proof of long-term reliability.

How much do we really
know?

Separate our own tests from published claims and the limits of the evidence. The counts below describe records, not performance or confidence scores.

01 / The assessment

What the evidence supports.

Capability and readiness are separate. These written findings are not a numerical rating or a physical test.

Capability

What can it actually do?

The specific maker claims and any independent observations are listed below. We have not run our own task tests on this robot.

Read the source-based assessment

Readiness

Could you use it in real life?

Intended use: Research and education motion. Dependable everyday use has not been established by the evidence reviewed. The three model identifiers must retain their joint and sensor distinctions. One family verdict would hide configuration gaps.

A clear limit

This is a research profile based on the sources below, not a hands-on test. Maker claims remain attributed to the maker; they do not prove repeatable performance in your home or workplace.

Know the exact robot

The name alone may not tell you which hardware, software or support you get. Keep editions and optional equipment separate.

Meet UBTECH Walker Tienkung

UBTECH manual V2.0.7.x identifies Walker Tienkung TK2101, Voice & Vision TK2201 and Embodied Intelligence TK2301 separately. This series entry is not evidence that their hardware, functions or parts are interchangeable.

04 / Living with it

Right robot, right expectations.

What ownership could involve

Designed for research and education; verify training, configuration, developer skills, connectivity, data handling, maintenance, warranty and local support. The older V2.0.4.x manual restricts use to adults and warns users to keep clear of moving limbs and use a lifting device. Confirm the applicable current manual. No public price or UK availability verified.

Support, software and repairs

UBTECH instructs users to match the manual to their delivered device. Older V2.0.4.x pages are explicitly unmaintained; do not silently use their procedures as current. Confirm the edition-specific numerical sheet, safety training, lifting equipment, SDK access, repair restrictions and warranty. Official documentation is a useful support route but does not make every edition’s functions identical.

Questions still open

What needs checking before you decide.

  • No footage reviewed; task completion, autonomy and recovery remain unassessed.
  • The three model identifiers and their sensor and joint differences must remain distinct.
  • Home-service applications on the product page are prospective; they do not establish a supplied home assistant.
  • No parts interchangeability established.
