Apptronik says Apollo 2 gathers training data across Robot Park and partner sites, using a combination of teleoperation and autonomous execution; it does not specify the control mode or success rate for individual tasks.

A humanoid with walking and wheeled options for research teams. It suits developing object-handling tasks, rather than arriving ready to help around the house.

Three proposed tasks. Ten attempts at each suitable task, with the outcome, time and human help recorded. Confirm the exact robot, software and safe setup first. These tasks are not evidence that this robot can do them.
Complete one documented movement or manipulation task
Proposed task. 0 of 10 attempts run.
Repeat the task from the same starting setup
Proposed task. 0 of 10 attempts run.
Record all help needed to start and finish
Proposed task. 0 of 10 attempts run.
Pick a square to see what each attempt will record.
We will record the outcome, time, control mode, human help, safety stops, exact hardware and software, conditions and full video.
Proposed attempt; not run Only proceed if the exact unit supports the task and the setup is suitable. Keep remote control, scripted operation and autonomous operation separate. A completed attempt alone does not prove autonomy. What each square will show
Keep the conditions visible
Name the control mode, surface, object or prompt and every intervention. Ten attempts are an initial result, not proof of long-term reliability.

Capability and readiness are separate. These written findings are not a numerical rating or a physical test.

What can it actually do?
The specific maker claims and any independent observations are listed below. We have not run our own task tests on this robot.
Read the source-based assessmentReadiness
Could you use it in real life?
Intended use: Mixed-control training-data collection. Dependable everyday use has not been established by the evidence reviewed. Separate bipedal and wheeled versions. Mixed teleoperation/autonomy needs task-level disclosure before any autonomy judgement.
Read the source-based assessmentThis is a research profile based on the sources below, not a hands-on test. Maker claims remain attributed to the maker; they do not prove repeatable performance in your home or workplace.
02 / Can it actually do it?
The claims, with their context.
The wording below keeps each source’s limits. A demonstration, a maker’s claim and a repeatable real-world result are different things.
Apptronik describes an LED mouth, speech and listening, a chest display, swappable batteries and fleet-management software.
Source 1The maker says the wheeled version is designed to conform to existing industrial mobile robot safety standards; this is a design claim, not verified certification or a safety assessment.

Every source keeps its original check date. Manufacturer information, research configurations and independent observations have different limits.

Model detail
Specifications and configuration
Figures below retain their source and configuration limits. Manufacturer specifications are not independent performance results.
Bipedal and wheeled-base configurations, according to the maker.
Source 2Maker describes swappable batteries, opportunity charging and tethering; battery capacity and runtime conditions not verified.
Source 1No public price or consumer offer found in reviewed sources; terms, availability and regions remain unknown.
Source 1Apollo 2 has bipedal and wheeled-base configurations; the maker describes them as separate choices for different workflows.
Manufacturer sourceSwappable batteries, opportunity charging and tethering are described. The cited 7×22 operation is a system-level aspiration, not a single-battery endurance figure.
Manufacturer sourceLED mouth, coordinated lights, speech/listening and a chest status display.
Manufacturer sourceArtemis coordinates robot functions; Fleet Connect supports monitoring, task orchestration and deployment management.

Meet Apptronik Apollo 2
Apollo 2 is the version unveiled on 30 June 2026. Apptronik separately identifies Apollo 1 in its earlier work and describes Apollo 3 as a future commercial product. Do not transfer original Apollo specifications, demonstrations, fitment or deployment claims to Apollo 2 without model-specific evidence; a wheeled configuration alone does not identify a generation.

04 / Living with it
Right robot, right expectations.
What ownership could involve
Confirm whether Apollo 2 can be obtained outside named partner programmes, configuration, setup and operator requirements, connectivity, data handling, maintenance, support and commercial terms. No public price or UK availability verified.
Support, software and repairs
Apptronik’s page is an enterprise-enquiry route. It describes configurable safety zones and fleet integration but does not publish a complete numerical Apollo 2 datasheet or standard warranty there. Do not transfer Apollo 1 dimensions, payload or endurance into this generation. Ask for the selected mobility configuration, site assessment, training, maintenance schedule and contractual service levels.
Questions still open
What needs checking before you decide.
- No footage reviewed; individual task outcomes, control mode, assistance and recovery remain unassessed.
- Maker reports mixed teleoperation and autonomous execution without task-level breakdown or reliability figures.
- No household deployment, consumer support or general home assistance established.
- Original Apollo specifications and demonstrations are not automatically applicable to Apollo 2; component interchangeability is unknown.
- Safety design claims have not been independently assessed and no certification has been verified.
