Booster describes T2 as a 31-DoF platform: two head joints, seven per arm, three waist joints and six per leg.

A humanoid development platform for engineering teams. Its advertised hardware offers room to experiment; dependable work without human help still needs evidence.

Three proposed tasks. Ten attempts at each suitable task, with the outcome, time and human help recorded. Confirm the exact robot, software and safe setup first. These tasks are not evidence that this robot can do them.

We will record the outcome, time, control mode, human help, safety stops, exact hardware and software, conditions and full video.
Proposed attempt; not run Only proceed if the exact unit supports the task and the setup is suitable. Keep remote control, scripted operation and autonomous operation separate. A completed attempt alone does not prove autonomy. What each square will show
Keep the conditions visible
Name the control mode, surface, object or prompt and every intervention. Ten attempts are an initial result, not proof of long-term reliability.

What the evidence supports.
Capability and readiness are separate. These written findings are not a numerical rating or a physical test.
Capability
What can it actually do?
The specific maker claims and any independent observations are listed below. We have not run our own task tests on this robot.
Read the source-based assessmentReadiness
Could you use it in real life?
Intended use: Humanoid development with selectable hands. Dependable everyday use has not been established by the evidence reviewed. Education and Pro computing differ. Treat handling and operational warnings as configuration requirements, not proof of autonomous work.
Read the source-based assessmentThis is a research profile based on the sources below, not a hands-on test. Maker claims remain attributed to the maker; they do not prove repeatable performance in your home or workplace.
02 / Can it actually do it?
The claims, with their context.
The wording below keeps each source’s limits. A demonstration, a maker’s claim and a repeatable real-world result are different things.
The manual attributes a Jetson Thor T5000 to the Pro edition and an ARM processor with approximately 375 TOPS to Education.
Source 1The Education product specification lists approximately 1.4 m height and approximately 42 kg weight (marked with an asterisk whose qualification is not established in the retained lines), plus standard, gripper or dexterous-hand end-effector options. Confirm the supplied configuration.
Source 2Booster advises keeping people away during actions and notes a falling risk on high-friction carpet during dances.
Source 1Booster’s T2 guide says motion control stops and joints do not exert force during an update, so the unit must be supported. Its 19 October 2026 release note describes T2 Education firmware and support for named hands and radar; that does not establish their inclusion with a particular robot.

Every source keeps its original check date. Manufacturer information, research configurations and independent observations have different limits.

Specifications and configuration
The figures and features below come from the named sources. They are not independent measurements. Optional hardware and conflicting revisions are kept separate.
| Item | Documented detail | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Joint configuration | Booster describes T2 as a 31-DoF platform: two head joints, seven per arm, three waist joints and six per leg. | Source 1 |
| Compute by edition | The manual attributes a Jetson Thor T5000 to the Pro edition and an ARM processor with approximately 375 TOPS to Education. | Source 1 |
| Size, mass and hands | The Education product specification lists approximately 1.4 m height and approximately 42 kg weight (marked with an asterisk whose qualification is not established in the retained lines), plus standard, gripper or dexterous-hand end-effector options. An omitted measurement is unknown in this review, not zero or unsupported. Check the exact hardware edition and documentation before ordering or designing around it.
Approximately 1.4 m tall and 42 kg, depending on options; 31 degrees of freedom.
Manufacturer sourceMaximum combined dual-arm payload 10 kg, strongly dependent on posture; maximum peak joint torque 140 Nm.
Manufacturer source48 V, 10 Ah; maker claims two hours of continuous walking.
Manufacturer sourceEducation: ARM processor with 375 TOPS AI compute. Professional: Jetson Thor T5000 with a separately stated 2,070 TFLOPS figure. These differently expressed metrics are not a like-for-like comparison.
Manufacturer sourceHead and waist binocular cameras; wrist/end cameras supported with gripper and dexterous-hand configurations. LiDAR is optional.
Manufacturer sourceWi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, Ethernet and locking USB Type-C; magnetic charging port.

Meet Booster Robotics Booster T2
Booster identifies T2 separately from T1 and K1 and lists Education and Professional editions. The exact edition, end effector and optional sensors matter. Do not carry a Professional computing claim over to Education or assume an optional hand is included.

04 / Living with it
Right robot, right expectations.
What ownership could involve
Begin with the job and control method, not the promotional capability. Obtain a written offer for the exact edition, gripper or hand, sensors, computing, support, delivery and training. A 42 kg moving machine needs space, supervision and a documented safety plan; the quoted figure is approximate and marked with an asterisk on the source page. Review the complete safety instructions before a physical trial. Record the operator, software version, task conditions, failures, resets and any human assistance. Neither a stated compute figure nor a ready-to-use agent establishes a reliable real-world task. No independent repeated-use evidence, UK service terms or price was verified.
Support, software and repairs
Booster lists firmware upgrades, secondary development, soft and hard emergency stops, and a one-year warranty with extension options. Confirm warranty exclusions, repair shipping, selected end effectors and software access. Its claimed walking speed and two-hour endurance are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results.
Questions still open
What needs checking before you decide.
- No original task footage or independent repeated-use trial assessed.
- Hardware specifications are manufacturer claims and configuration dependent.
- Household readiness, UK delivery and after-sales support remain unknown.
