Devanthro describes Robodies as humanoid systems combining AI and human teleoperation for home support.
Source 1Devanthro Robody home-care platform
A home-care robot platform operated partly by remote people. It suits organised care services; its usefulness depends on those people and the specific tasks supported.

Three proposed tasks. Ten attempts at each suitable task, with the outcome, time and human help recorded. Confirm the exact robot, software and safe setup first. These tasks are not evidence that this robot can do them.
Complete one documented interaction
Proposed task. 0 of 10 attempts run.
Repeat the interaction with the same setup
Proposed task. 0 of 10 attempts run.
Record all help needed to start and finish
Proposed task. 0 of 10 attempts run.
Pick a square to see what each attempt will record.
We will record the outcome, time, control mode, human help, safety stops, exact hardware and software, conditions and full video.
Proposed attempt; not run Only proceed if the exact unit supports the task and the setup is suitable. Keep remote control, scripted operation and autonomous operation separate. A completed attempt alone does not prove autonomy. What each square will show
Keep the conditions visible
Name the control mode, surface, object or prompt and every intervention. Ten attempts are an initial result, not proof of long-term reliability.

What can it actually do?
The specific maker claims and any independent observations are listed below. We have not run our own task tests on this robot.

Could you use it in real life?
Intended use: Human-operated home-care tasks. Dependable everyday use has not been established by the evidence reviewed. The remote human service is central, not hidden assistance. Assess operators, communications, scope and contracts separately from hardware.
Read the source-based assessmentThis is a research profile based on the sources below, not a hands-on test. Maker claims remain attributed to the maker; they do not prove repeatable performance in your home or workplace.
02 / Can it actually do it?
The claims, with their context.
The wording below keeps each source’s limits. A demonstration, a maker’s claim and a repeatable real-world result are different things.
Devanthro says its approach deploys Robodies to homes with human operators and describes a VR operator seeing, hearing and speaking through the robot. Control modes for specific tasks and deployments are unknown.
Source 1The company reports a November 2024 home-care generation, 2025 tests at care locations and disability-service pilots; its 2026+ milestone describes scaling pilots and preparing broader deployment. These are company reports, not independently verified outcomes.
Source 2In its account of a newer generation, Devanthro says human operators helped with tasks in three homes; neither autonomous success rates nor the exact supplied generation have been independently verified.

Every source keeps its original check date. Manufacturer information, research configurations and independent observations have different limits.

Meet Devanthro Robody home-care platform
Robody is a family of Devanthro humanoid telepresence systems. The company says it unveiled a newer home-care generation in November 2024, but this reference does not assert a specific SKU, delivered revision or parts fitment. The 2024 generation’s model identifier and relationship to any current supplied unit remain unverified.

Right robot, right expectations.
What ownership could involve
This is a robot plus a human service, not evidence of a self-sufficient carer. Establish where it is offered, who operates it, service hours, emergency arrangements, consent, recording and data access, maintenance and the actual hardware before assessing ownership. Company reports of home use and support are not independent proof of clinical benefit or availability in the UK.
Support, software and repairs
Devanthro describes home deployments in Germany and a human-supported service. Arrange a site-specific discussion covering operator availability, access permissions, recordings, network outages, emergency escalation, maintenance and service pricing. Do not equate “24/7 support” marketing with a signed service-level agreement or an autonomous medical-care capability. UK delivery and service eligibility remain unconfirmed.
Questions still open
What needs checking before you decide.
- No clinical benefit, emergency response or safety performance was independently assessed.
- Exact service contract, operator arrangements, country support, cost and hardware generation remain unknown.
- Household task demonstrations must record whether a person teleoperated the robot.
- The company’s home-test account reports operator involvement; do not transfer those activities to unaided autonomous performance.
