Right robot, right expectations.
What ownership could involve
Consider where the robot will live and who will maintain its account, network and payment method. A conversation demonstration does not reveal how often responses fail or how a household copes during an outage. Check supported languages and the service’s availability in your country before considering an import. The annual and monthly plans are different commitments; read the current cancellation and repair arrangements rather than assuming the body purchase includes lifetime conversation. Test background noise, turn-taking and privacy controls with the person who will actually use it.
Support, software and repairs
MIXI’s FAQ says a failed monthly payment moves Romi into the free simple mode, disabling conversation until a valid payment method is registered and the speaking service restarted. Budget for the service as well as the robot. Confirm Lacatan-specific plan terms, country eligibility and what remains usable without the paid service.
