Ozobot describes screen-free colour-code activities and on-screen block coding.

A small coding robot for drawing-based and digital lessons. It suits early learners, but stock needs checking.
Recorded specifications, with their source limits. These are not our measurements. See all specifications and configurations
The maker page showed US $175 and sold out on 28 October 2026; this is a dated observation, not evidence of UK availability or present stock.
A recorded offer can change. Check its source date below and confirm the exact package, delivery region and total cost with the seller.

Three proposed tasks. Ten attempts at each suitable task, with the outcome, time and human help recorded. Confirm the exact robot, software and safe setup first. These tasks are not evidence that this robot can do them.

Pick a square to see what each attempt will record.
We will record the outcome, time, control mode, human help, safety stops, exact hardware and software, conditions and full video.
Proposed attempt; not run Only proceed if the exact unit supports the task and the setup is suitable. Keep remote control, scripted operation and autonomous operation separate. A completed attempt alone does not prove autonomy. What each square will show
Keep the conditions visible
Name the control mode, surface, object or prompt and every intervention. Ten attempts are an initial result, not proof of long-term reliability.

Capability and readiness are separate. These written findings are not a numerical rating or a physical test.

What can it actually do?
The specific maker claims and any independent observations are listed below. We have not run our own task tests on this robot.
Read the source-based assessmentReadiness
Could you use it in real life?
Intended use: Marker and digital coding. Dependable everyday use has not been established by the evidence reviewed. Assess both programming routes and current software. A dated sold-out notice and conflicting shipping answers do not establish regional supply.
Read the source-based assessmentThis is a research profile based on the sources below, not a hands-on test. Maker claims remain attributed to the maker; they do not prove repeatable performance in your home or workplace.
02 / Can it actually do it?
The claims, with their context.
The wording below keeps each source’s limits. A demonstration, a maker’s claim and a repeatable real-world result are different things.
The Entry Kit lists one Evo, charging cable, five dual-tip markers, activities and a protective case.
Source 1The maker describes two routes into coding: coloured marks on paper for predefined behaviours and on-screen blocks using Ozobot Blockly. The appropriate setup depends on the activity and device; neither route has been tested here.

Every source keeps its original check date. Manufacturer information, research configurations and independent observations have different limits.

04 / Living with it
Right robot, right expectations.
What ownership could involve
Marker activities can be used without a screen; digital coding needs a compatible computer or tablet and the appropriate software. Check device and browser requirements for the intended coding method before buying. Charge the robot and calibrate for the activity and surface; keep suitable markers and paper available. Confirm account and classroom data terms, firmware support, battery servicing and regional warranty. The manufacturer describes a home and classroom use case, but independent evidence of routine use and support has not been reviewed.
Support, software and repairs
The current manufacturer-linked sheet covers Evo in a classroom kit; a cradle is not necessarily included with an individual robot. Use the compatibility chart and firmware-update guide. The sheet’s Python wording mixes Wi-Fi with a BLE connection requirement; confirm the actual computer-to-robot workflow. Check your unit’s charging revision and local warranty before buying accessories.
Questions still open
What needs checking before you decide.
- The maker page showed US $175 and sold out on 28 October 2026; this is a dated observation, not evidence of UK availability or present stock.
- Maker FAQ gives conflicting international shipping answers.
- No independent line-following or programme-transfer test was reviewed.
