Name the control mode, surface, object or prompt and every intervention. Ten attempts are an initial result, not proof of long-term reliability.

How much do we really
know?

Separate our own tests from published claims and the limits of the evidence. The counts below describe records, not performance or confidence scores.

01 / The assessment

What the evidence supports.

Capability and readiness are separate. These written findings are not a numerical rating or a physical test.

Capability

What can it actually do?

A hands-on report describes movement controlled through the app and remotes. This does not establish autonomous patrol.

Read the source-based assessment

Readiness

Could you use it in real life?

Enthusiast-operated movement has historical support. Current readiness for this use remains conditional on configuration, control and support checks; unattended home service is not established.

Read the source-based assessment
A clear limit

Independent written hands-on report and a separate teardown. The teardown does not establish availability of every spare part.

Know the exact robot

The name alone may not tell you which hardware, software or support you get. Keep editions and optional equipment separate.

Manufacturer warranty table

Air: six months; Pro, X and EDU: twelve months. Maker directs readers to the warranty brochure; terms and applicable seller coverage still need checking.

Dated price observation

28 October 2026 maker table: Air $1,600, Pro $2,800, X $4,500; EDU contact sales. Tax and freight excluded. Currency jurisdiction, selected regional offer, stock and landed cost not independently verified.

Source 4
Battery configuration

Table lists 8,000 mAh and about 1–2 hours for Air/Pro/X; 15,000 mAh and about 2–4 hours for EDU. These are maker estimates, not a measured endurance comparison.

Source 4
Rated payload by edition

Air approximately 7 kg; Pro, X and EDU approximately 8 kg. The separate maxima are 10 kg for Air/Pro and 12 kg for X/EDU; these are not continuous working-load guarantees.

Manufacturer source
Speed by edition

Air 0–2.5 m/s; Pro 0–3.5 m/s; X/EDU 0–3.7 m/s. The approximately 5 m/s maximum is a separate laboratory figure for X/EDU.

Manufacturer source
Terrain figures

Maker table: climb/drop height approximately 15 cm for Air and 16 cm for Pro/X/EDU; climb angle 30° for Air and 40° for the other editions. Surface and loading conditions matter.

Manufacturer source
Joints and construction

12 aluminium knee-joint motor assemblies; aluminium alloy and high-strength engineering plastic structure.

Manufacturer source
Power and charging

28–33.6 V operating range. Standard charger 33.6 V/3.5 A for Air/Pro/X; EDU table specifies 33.6 V/9 A fast charger.

Manufacturer source
Developer access

Secondary development is not listed for Air/Pro, is qualified for X, and is listed for EDU. Confirm the required SDK access before choosing an edition.

Manufacturer source
Sensors and connectivity

Current product page lists L2 LiDAR, a wide-angle camera, dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth. Foot-end force sensors and the depth camera are listed for EDU; 4G is not listed for Air.

Further assessment notes

Evidence and practical use

Robodromo assessment

Desk assessment: 31 October 2026. Go2 Pro; 2025 report; firmware unknown.

What the evidence describes
A hands-on report describes movement controlled through the app and remotes. This does not establish autonomous patrol.
Human help and setup
Setup was reported as demanding. The assessed movement uses a handler; current recovery and emergency-stop behaviour remain unchecked.
What remains uncertain
Current software, emergency stop and regional support. Do not transfer Pro findings to AIR or EDU.
Readiness
Enthusiast-operated movement has historical support. Current readiness for this use remains conditional on configuration, control and support checks; unattended home service is not established.

This is an assessment of documented evidence, not a Robodromo physical test. Unresolved evidence does not mean the robot cannot perform the task. Source material has not been freshly rechecked for this publication.

Setup, support and daily use

04 / Living with it

Right robot, right expectations.

What ownership could involve

Plan for an operator, suitable space, charging and maintenance. Check the exact edition, controller, software, local support and authorised accessories before purchase. The maker warranty and dated privacy-policy findings above now give firmer questions for the seller: exact regional app, current AI/cloud data routes, warranty return arrangements and update-support end date. Do not assume access to developer functions or charging hardware from an app screenshot. No service contract, subscription schedule or complete regional delivery offer was verified. Manual pages 2–3 have now been visually read: plan supervised use with suitable clearance and dry conditions; this is not evidence of child-safe unattended use. Read the complete applicable edition manual before operation.

Support, software and repairs

Unitree lists manuals, an app download and a developer document centre. Its table gives Air six months and Pro/X/EDU twelve months of manufacturer warranty, subject to the warranty brochure. Charging-pile compatibility is listed only for X/EDU. Ask the seller to name the supplied battery, charger, controller, app region and repair-return destination in writing; the product page does not promise a software-support end date.

Questions still open

What needs checking before you decide.

  • Maker specifications do not establish unattended reliability or a safe use case.
  • No fitment, replacement part or customer supply claim follows from this profile.
  • Review configuration-specific connectivity and support in the target region.
  • App-page L1 and current product-page L2 descriptions are not reconciled to a delivered revision.
  • The accessible privacy policy is dated 2023; present app behaviour and AI-service data routes remain untested.
