Three proposed tasks. Ten attempts at each suitable task, with the outcome, time and human help recorded. Confirm the exact robot, software and safe setup first. These tasks are not evidence that this robot can do them.

We will record the outcome, time, control mode, human help, safety stops, exact hardware and software, conditions and full video.
Proposed attempt; not run Only proceed if the exact unit supports the task and the setup is suitable. Keep remote control, scripted operation and autonomous operation separate. A completed attempt alone does not prove autonomy. What each square will show
Keep the conditions visible
Name the control mode, surface, object or prompt and every intervention. Ten attempts are an initial result, not proof of long-term reliability.

Could you use it in real life?
Intended use: Visual coding and sensor activities. Dependable everyday use has not been established by the evidence reviewed. Voice response must not be expanded into general speech comprehension. Continued compatible apps are essential to this use.

The claims, with their context.
The wording below keeps each source’s limits. A demonstration, a maker’s claim and a repeatable real-world result are different things.
The maker says Dash has no camera and describes obstacle and sound sensing.
Source 1The FAQ says its internal battery is not user-replaceable and directs owners to support if it stops holding charge.
Source 1The current apps page requires a paid Make Wonder subscription for Blockly Pro on Chrome. Dash communicates with the device over Bluetooth; some app features need internet access.

Evidence and practical use
Robodromo assessment
Desk assessment: 31 October 2026. Source-check dates: 2026-10-27, 2026-10-31.
Voice response must not be expanded into general speech comprehension. Continued compatible apps are essential to this use.
- What the evidence describes
- A ready-built classroom robot for movement and visual coding. It suits learners who want a quick start, but compatible apps and ongoing support remain important.
- Human help and setup
- An adult or educator may need to prepare devices, charge equipment and guide activities. The exact documented requirements below take precedence.
- What remains uncertain
- Voice response must not be presented as general conversation or speech comprehension. No independent assessment of battery life, obstacle detection or learning outcomes.
- Readiness
- Intended use: Visual coding and sensor activities. Dependable everyday use has not been established by the evidence reviewed. Voice response must not be expanded into general speech comprehension. Continued compatible apps are essential to this use.
This is an assessment of documented evidence, not a Robodromo physical test. Unresolved evidence does not mean the robot cannot perform the task. Source material has not been freshly rechecked for this publication.

Right robot, right expectations.
What ownership could involve
Check device and app compatibility and plan charging between sessions. A non-user-replaceable battery makes a practical support and repair route important before buying a fleet. Keep activity space clear and confirm whether any desired gripper or drawing accessory is included. Compare the lesson a family can run with the included software against one requiring a paid service. A completed puzzle does not by itself show transferable coding understanding. Ask the learner to explain and alter the sequence, then record the help needed. For fleet ownership, an internal battery makes the repair turnaround and replacement route as important as a quoted runtime. Lack of a camera also does not settle all privacy questions: app accounts, recorded sounds and any connected service still need separate review.
Support, software and repairs
Use the current compatibility chart before buying tablets for a class. The Go app is deprecated; Wonder is the recommended replacement. Xylo remains downloadable but no longer receives updates and can fail on newer operating systems. Keep robot firmware current. Check the exact device/app combination and school-account requirements; app-store availability alone is not ongoing support.
Questions still open
What needs checking before you decide.
- Voice response must not be presented as general conversation or speech comprehension.
