Noetix describes nine upper-body and twelve lower-body degrees of freedom on its Bumi product page.
Source 1Noetix Bumi
A humanoid for companionship and education. It suits supervised activities; its FAQ says it lacks automatic obstacle avoidance and voice-controlled actions, and its shaped hands should stay unloaded.

Three proposed tasks. Ten attempts at each suitable task, with the outcome, time and human help recorded. Confirm the exact robot, software and safe setup first. These tasks are not evidence that this robot can do them.
Perform one documented movement
Proposed task. 0 of 10 attempts run.
Return to the starting pose on command

We will record the outcome, time, control mode, human help, safety stops, exact hardware and software, conditions and full video.
Proposed attempt; not run Only proceed if the exact unit supports the task and the setup is suitable. Keep remote control, scripted operation and autonomous operation separate. A completed attempt alone does not prove autonomy. What each square will show
Keep the conditions visible
Name the control mode, surface, object or prompt and every intervention. Ten attempts are an initial result, not proof of long-term reliability.

Capability and readiness are separate. These written findings are not a numerical rating or a physical test.

What can it actually do?
The specific maker claims and any independent observations are listed below. We have not run our own task tests on this robot.

Could you use it in real life?
Intended use: App-controlled movement and voice interaction. Dependable everyday use has not been established by the evidence reviewed. The FAQ excludes autonomous obstacle avoidance and loaded hands. Voice conversation must not be confused with voice-controlled motion.
Read the source-based assessmentThis is a research profile based on the sources below, not a hands-on test. Maker claims remain attributed to the maker; they do not prove repeatable performance in your home or workplace.
02 / Can it actually do it?
The claims, with their context.
The wording below keeps each source’s limits. A demonstration, a maker’s claim and a repeatable real-world result are different things.
The Chinese FAQ says automatic obstacle avoidance and voice-controlled actions are not currently supported and describes app control. It separately describes spoken interaction and volume adjustment, so verify the exact software, edition and scope of any voice controls.
Source 2The FAQ says Bumi’s hands are shaped hands and recommends keeping them unloaded; dexterous-hand accessories are not currently supported.
Source 2Noetix’s mobile site lists a 17 March 2026 news headline reporting Bumi delivery at AWE.
Source 3In the captured FAQ, Noetix says the robot does not climb stairs or run and that voice interaction needs a network. Its description of cellular connectivity varies by edition; confirm the supplied unit and translation.

Every source keeps its original check date. Manufacturer information, research configurations and independent observations have different limits.

The exact model
Meet Noetix Bumi
Keep Bumi distinct from N2, E1 and Noetix’s separately marketed Boomy. Verify any claimed relationship between Bumi and Boomy and the exact standard, Pro, MAX or EDU variant before transferring specifications, functionality or parts. A manufacturer news headline reports a Bumi event delivery, but its detail and extent have not been independently verified.

04 / Living with it
Right robot, right expectations.
What ownership could involve
A buyer should decide whether a small walking companion or developer platform meets the need; the available evidence does not support presenting Bumi as a general household handling assistant. Ask for the specific edition, software version, language and region, included battery and charger, spare parts and a written local warranty. The FAQ distinguishes voice interaction from voice commands for motion, and the product page advertises voice control: resolve this apparent conflict for the exact unit rather than assuming either claim applies universally. The manufacturer recommends app control around obstacles and keeping the hands empty. Use a clear, level supervised area and plan for falls, manual handling and safe battery charging. Ask for repeated demonstrations with control mode and failures documented. The event-delivery headline supports only a manufacturer report, not proof of broad distribution, customer satisfaction or UK availability.
Support, software and repairs
NOETIX Run provides Bluetooth control without internet; voice interaction needs connectivity and is distinct from movement commands. EDU exposes high/low-level development; Pro access differs. OTA updates are free but future feature charges are not ruled out. Use empty hands and back, keep dry and supervise children. Confirm warranty and region; advertised EDU courses are still being prepared.
Questions still open
What needs checking before you decide.
- Voice interaction and voice-controlled action must not be conflated.
- No proof that Boomy and Bumi are identical configurations.
- Manufacturer event-delivery headline is not independent proof of scale.
