UBTECH describes a built-in motion library and customisable motion settings.

Three proposed tasks. Ten attempts at each suitable task, with the outcome, time and human help recorded. Confirm the exact robot, software and safe setup first. These tasks are not evidence that this robot can do them.
Complete one supported service task
Proposed task. 0 of 10 attempts run.
Repeat with a second supported destination or input
Proposed task. 0 of 10 attempts run.
Restart the task and record all operator help
Proposed task. 0 of 10 attempts run.
Pick a square to see what each attempt will record.
We will record the outcome, time, control mode, human help, safety stops, exact hardware and software, conditions and full video.
Proposed attempt; not run Only proceed if the exact unit supports the task and the setup is suitable. Keep remote control, scripted operation and autonomous operation separate. A completed attempt alone does not prove autonomy. What each square will show
Keep the conditions visible
Name the control mode, surface, object or prompt and every intervention. Ten attempts are an initial result, not proof of long-term reliability.

What the evidence supports.
Capability and readiness are separate. These written findings are not a numerical rating or a physical test.
Capability
What can it actually do?
The specific maker claims and any independent observations are listed below. We have not run our own task tests on this robot.
Read the source-based assessmentReadiness
Could you use it in real life?
Intended use: Urban reception and guiding. Dependable everyday use has not been established by the evidence reviewed. C1 needs its own task evidence; the maker's use cases do not establish dependable everyday service.
Read the source-based assessmentThis is a research profile based on the sources below, not a hands-on test. Maker claims remain attributed to the maker; they do not prove repeatable performance in your home or workplace.
02 / Can it actually do it?
The claims, with their context.
The wording below keeps each source’s limits. A demonstration, a maker’s claim and a repeatable real-world result are different things.
UBTECH describes standard interfaces and an SDK for customisation; their availability and terms are unverified.
Source 1UBTECH claims single-person deployment and out-of-box operation; no setup method, conditions or independent validation were reviewed.
Source 1UBTECH lists multilingual reception and tour guiding as intended commercial applications; listing a scenario does not establish completed tasks.
Source 1UBTECH’s Walker C product page lists 20 DoF for C; the supplied configuration and counting basis are not established.
Source 3UBTECH’s 2026 issuer filing describes Walker C1 with 53 DoF and a lattice structure; the configuration and included joints are not normalised against Walker C.

Every source keeps its original check date. Manufacturer information, research configurations and independent observations have different limits.

Specifications and configuration
The figures and features below come from the named sources. They are not independent measurements. Optional hardware and conflicting revisions are kept separate.

Manufacturer sourceThe exact model and configuration
The exact model
Meet UBTECH Walker C1
UBTECH lists Walker C1 separately from Walker C and Walker X. Do not infer a revision or parts relationship from the names. The C1 component diagram has now been read; optional hands are identified separately. The exact supplied configuration still needs confirmation. UBTECH’s Walker C page lists 20 degrees of freedom, while its 2026 interim filing describes a new-generation Walker C1 with 53 degrees of freedom and a lattice structure. These separately attributed descriptions support treating them as different named models; counting methods, exact lineage and parts interchangeability remain unknown.

04 / Living with it
Right robot, right expectations.
What ownership could involve
Confirm configuration, SDK access and terms, setup, human supervision, safety measures, connectivity, data handling, maintenance, warranty and local support. No public price or UK availability verified.
Support, software and repairs
The official component diagram has now been read. It identifies sensors and optional hands but does not establish complete dimensions, battery capacity or runtime. Do not inherit Walker C’s dimensions, battery or joint count. Obtain the C1 datasheet, delivered motion library, maintenance, operator training, spare-parts and warranty terms. Modular compatibility and rapid delivery claims need confirmation for the purchased configuration.
Questions still open
What needs checking before you decide.
- No footage reviewed; task completion, control mode and recovery remain unassessed.
- Manufacturer claims do not establish independent performance or general safety certification.
- No parts interchangeability with other Walker models established.
- The official component diagram was visually checked on 31 October 2026. Complete dimensions, battery and runtime remain unverified.
- Cross-model compatibility is asserted generally by the maker; no specific compatible part or model is identified.
- The separately dated filing describes C1 as a new-generation model with different stated DoF and construction; exact revision, joint counting and lineage remain unresolved.
- The maker’s reported C and C1 DoF figures use unverified counting bases; no direct successor or parts-fitment relationship is inferred.
