Unitree describes tools for data acquisition, annotation, review, export, model training, simulation and deployment.
Source 1Unitree G1-D
A robot platform for developers recording and practising tasks. It suits research teams; Standard and Ultimate hardware differ, and neither is a ready-made household assistant.
Recorded specifications, with their source limits. These are not our measurements. See all specifications and configurations

Three proposed tasks. Ten attempts at each suitable task, with the outcome, time and human help recorded. Confirm the exact robot, software and safe setup first. These tasks are not evidence that this robot can do them.
Move one suitable object between two marked positions
Proposed task. 0 of 10 attempts run.
Repeat with a second supported object
Proposed task. 0 of 10 attempts run.
Return to the starting position and repeat the sequence
Proposed task. 0 of 10 attempts run.
Pick a square to see what each attempt will record.
We will record the outcome, time, control mode, human help, safety stops, exact hardware and software, conditions and full video.
Proposed attempt; not run Only proceed if the exact unit supports the task and the setup is suitable. Keep remote control, scripted operation and autonomous operation separate. A completed attempt alone does not prove autonomy. What each square will show
Keep the conditions visible
Name the control mode, surface, object or prompt and every intervention. Ten attempts are an initial result, not proof of long-term reliability.

We have not physically tested this robot. No performance score or measured attempt is available.

What the evidence supports.
Capability and readiness are separate. These written findings are not a numerical rating or a physical test.
Capability
What can it actually do?
The specific maker claims and any independent observations are listed below. We have not run our own task tests on this robot.
Read the source-based assessmentReadiness
Could you use it in real life?
Intended use: Data collection and training. Dependable everyday use has not been established by the evidence reviewed. Standard and Ultimate configurations differ. Training infrastructure is not a supplied autonomous household workflow.
Read the source-based assessmentThis is a research profile based on the sources below, not a hands-on test. Maker claims remain attributed to the maker; they do not prove repeatable performance in your home or workplace.
02 / Can it actually do it?
The claims, with their context.
The wording below keeps each source’s limits. A demonstration, a maker’s claim and a repeatable real-world result are different things.
Check the original sources
Every source keeps its original check date. Manufacturer information, research configurations and independent observations have different limits.

Meet Unitree G1-D
Unitree calls G1-D an end-to-end humanoid data and training platform. Standard has 17 degrees of freedom excluding end effector; Ultimate has 19 and a powered mobile chassis. This page does not establish a walking G1 configuration or component interchangeability.
Further assessment notes
Setup, support and daily use
04 / Living with it
Right robot, right expectations.
What ownership could involve
Confirm variant, selected end effectors, computing module, battery configuration, software access and support. The maker lists Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and OTA; data storage location, cloud dependence, privacy, licence, subscriptions and maintenance are not established. Research and model development will require technical expertise. Unitree asks users to maintain sufficient distance and use caution, and refers buyers to its warranty brochure; actual warranty terms and regional availability remain unverified.
Support, software and repairs
Unitree lists development access and several optional hands/compute modules. Confirm upper-body and chassis batteries, navigation sensors, chosen hands, SDK, recovery and warranty. The standard lifting platform must not be described as having Ultimate’s mobile base. Demonstrated tasks may require development or unreleased software.
Questions still open
What needs checking before you decide.
- No footage directly reviewed, and no success rate or control mode established.
- No public price or UK delivery offer verified.
- No proof of routine autonomous service, household use or safety certification.
- Do not infer walking ability, fitment or part interchangeability from the G1 name.
- Do not treat blank Standard chassis fields as proven absence of every form of movement; the reviewed table establishes powered differential-drive specifications for Ultimate only.
- A current Unitree product page continues to distinguish the two-arm training robot from the walking G1; Standard chassis entries remain unlisted, so no absence of wheels is inferred.
