Unitree lists secondary development for G1+ EDU; the standard G1+ column shows a slash. Its meaning and access on a supplied standard unit remain unconfirmed.

Three proposed tasks. Ten attempts at each suitable task, with the outcome, time and human help recorded. Confirm the exact robot, software and safe setup first. These tasks are not evidence that this robot can do them.
Complete one documented movement or manipulation task
Proposed task. 0 of 10 attempts run.
Repeat the task from the same starting setup
Proposed task. 0 of 10 attempts run.
Record all help needed to start and finish
Proposed task. 0 of 10 attempts run.
Pick a square to see what each attempt will record.
We will record the outcome, time, control mode, human help, safety stops, exact hardware and software, conditions and full video.
Proposed attempt; not run Only proceed if the exact unit supports the task and the setup is suitable. Keep remote control, scripted operation and autonomous operation separate. A completed attempt alone does not prove autonomy. What each square will show
Keep the conditions visible
Name the control mode, surface, object or prompt and every intervention. Ten attempts are an initial result, not proof of long-term reliability.

What the evidence supports.
Capability and readiness are separate. These written findings are not a numerical rating or a physical test.
Capability
What can it actually do?
The specific maker claims and any independent observations are listed below. We have not run our own task tests on this robot.
Read the source-based assessmentReadiness
Could you use it in real life?
Intended use: Humanoid movement and development. Dependable everyday use has not been established by the evidence reviewed. G1+ and EDU differ in developer access and warranty. G1 evidence is not automatically G1+ evidence.
Read the source-based assessmentThis is a research profile based on the sources below, not a hands-on test. Maker claims remain attributed to the maker; they do not prove repeatable performance in your home or workplace.
02 / Can it actually do it?
The claims, with their context.
The wording below keeps each source’s limits. A demonstration, a maker’s claim and a repeatable real-world result are different things.
The page describes external power for longer operation and touch, audio and interaction features; exact supplied functions and operating conditions need verification.
Source 1Unitree says some example functions are still in development and testing.
Source 1Unitree’s G1+ comparison lists 25 joint-motor degrees of freedom for G1+ and 25–45 for G1+ EDU. Its EDU column describes different dexterous hands and additional wrist degrees of freedom; the actual supplied configuration must be checked.
Source 2Check the original sources
Every source keeps its original check date. Manufacturer information, research configurations and independent observations have different limits.

Meet Unitree G1+
Unitree names G1+ and G1+ EDU separately and describes G1+ as an evolution of G1. Do not transfer specifications, components or fitment from G1. Confirm the actual variant and revision before comparing or ordering.
Further assessment notes
Setup, support and daily use
04 / Living with it
Right robot, right expectations.
What ownership could involve
Confirm version, actual scope of software and accessories, regional delivery, tax, shipping, warranty exclusions and support before purchase. EDU is the listed secondary-development variant; expertise and setup requirements need clarification. Unitree lists Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cameras, microphones, OTA updates and manual controller; network dependence, data handling, subscriptions, maintenance and spare parts remain unverified. Unitree warns users to keep sufficient distance and use caution; individual users should understand limitations before purchase. External power does not establish safe unattended operation. Confirm which example behaviours are supplied and distinguish purchased hardware from optional development access.
Support, software and repairs
The table lists eight-month standard and eighteen-month EDU warranties, subject to the warranty brochure. Secondary development is EDU-only. Confirm hands, waist, compute and battery spares. Some illustrated functions remain under development. G1+ is not the original G1, so match firmware and hardware revisions before comparing parts or capabilities.
Questions still open
What needs checking before you decide.
- No footage directly reviewed; demonstrations and control modes remain unassessed.
- No measured task success, recovery or independent everyday-use evidence.
- Price is a maker headline, not a verified UK delivered offer or Robodromo stock.
- No fitment or interchangeability with G1 established.
