The maker advertises face recognition, interactive games, Google Blockly activities and remote interaction. None has been independently tested in this pass.

Three proposed tasks. Ten attempts at each suitable task, with the outcome, time and human help recorded. Confirm the exact robot, software and safe setup first. These tasks are not evidence that this robot can do them.

We will record the outcome, time, control mode, human help, safety stops, exact hardware and software, conditions and full video.
Proposed attempt; not run Only proceed if the exact unit supports the task and the setup is suitable. Keep remote control, scripted operation and autonomous operation separate. A completed attempt alone does not prove autonomy. What each square will show
Keep the conditions visible
Name the control mode, surface, object or prompt and every intervention. Ten attempts are an initial result, not proof of long-term reliability.

What can it actually do?
The specific maker claims and any independent observations are listed below. We have not run our own task tests on this robot.

Could you use it in real life?
Intended use: Mobile robot-pet play. Dependable everyday use has not been established by the evidence reviewed. Recognition percentages without a test protocol cannot establish navigation reliability or the amount of owner rescue required.
Read the source-based assessmentThis is a research profile based on the sources below, not a hands-on test. Maker claims remain attributed to the maker; they do not prove repeatable performance in your home or workplace.
02 / Can it actually do it?
The claims, with their context.
The wording below keeps each source’s limits. A demonstration, a maker’s claim and a repeatable real-world result are different things.
The captured product page claims two hours of continuous play and automatic return to the dock. It lists RGB and 3D time-of-flight sensing, an IMU and four microphones; no task test was performed.
Source 1A one-year warranty headline appears alongside lifetime customer support. That wording does not promise lifetime software updates or cloud operation.
Source 1The maker's April 2026 buying guide says most features need Wi-Fi, while touch responses and following can work offline; it says Wi-Fi is needed for the app. This is a maker claim, not a test.
Source 3The same guide says no subscription fees and all features are included after purchase. Treat as a dated maker claim, not a promise against future charges or a worldwide contract.
Source 4An undated maker service notice says temporary accounts will cease after its server upgrade and temporary-service account data, task progress, permissions and Community and GPT Wonderland content will not migrate. Check the live notice before use; no end date is stated.
Source 5The maker's August 2026 V19 article describes memory triggered by facial recognition and GPT-4o integration. Its privacy assurances are claims; retention, deletion and actual access controls remain unverified.
Source 6A separate manufacturer buying guide says up to 1.5 hours of continuous play. This differs from the two-hour product-page claim; test conditions and applicability to the offer are unclear.

Every source keeps its original check date. Manufacturer information, research configurations and independent observations have different limits.

Further assessment notes
Setup, support and daily use
04 / Living with it
Right robot, right expectations.
What ownership could involve
Start by choosing the exact bundle and checking whether the charging dock and desired play accessories are included. For the eventual home test, record floor material, lighting, obstacles and dock position. Count failed returns and manual rescues, not just successful charging. Review app permissions and what remote camera access exposes before using the robot around family members. Conversation service costs, offline behaviour and support after service withdrawal still need primary documentation. The fetched storefront was localised to Poland; its currency and dispatch message are not a delivered worldwide offer.
Support, software and repairs
KEYi advertises a one-year warranty and customer support. Confirm region-specific service, battery replacement, cloud AI charges and account-reset steps. Its service-notice page warns that temporary-service account data and permissions do not automatically migrate after the upgrade; save important content and check which account applies. “Lifetime support” does not promise lifetime cloud operation or free repairs.
Questions still open
What needs checking before you decide.
- Recognition percentages on the sales page lack a reviewed test protocol and are not performance grades.
- No evidence of dependable unsupervised home navigation assessed.
- Current cloud fees, privacy controls and service-end behaviour remain unknown.
- Maker buying guide describes EMO as stationary despite LivingAI describing desktop movement; do not rely on this competitor comparison or infer comparative performance.
- Manufacturer sources give different continuous-play durations (2 hours and up to 1.5 hours); test conditions and applicable configurations are unverified.
