Enquire about this configuration. Before an order can be offered, we must confirm the exact contents, current capabilities, delivery and named technical support for this configuration.

Ask for an itemised quote covering hardware, software, delivery, setup and support.

As2-W combines articulated legs with driven wheels. Its appeal is efficient travel between obstacles, but stair height, maximum climb and payload are different measures.

Price on application

What the model is designed for

Specify the exact quadruped configuration, controller, battery, charging equipment and software access. Task sensors and computing may be additional items.

What your task may need

Inspection or mobile work needs the route, terrain, payload, task software and operator involvement to be assessed. A platform specification is only part of that plan.

Software & connections

Confirm the supported computer, operating system, accounts and developer access. Ask what runs on the robot, on a nearby computer or in the cloud; what stops without internet; and whether subscriptions or remote assistance are needed.

Setup & ongoing support

Richard helps clarify the package and coordinate supplier enquiries. Specialist setup, programming, diagnosis and repairs need a capable supplier or technical partner. That support is not yet agreed for every model; the provider, scope and fees must be confirmed before an order.

What is included in your package?

The exact contents depend on your chosen edition and supplier quote. Ask for an itemised list of included equipment, optional extras and anything you need to supply yourself.

Six things to settle in your written package
The box and the extras
Exact model and edition; quantities of batteries, chargers, controller, cables, hands or grippers and sensors. Mark each item as included, optional, supplied by you or not required. Confirm the UK mains arrangement.
Your first useful task
Separate supplied functions from demonstrations and custom development. Agree the software, operator involvement, working conditions and a simple acceptance test for your task.
Computer, software and connections
Confirm the supported computer, operating system, accounts and developer access. Ask what runs on the robot, on a nearby computer or in the cloud; what stops without internet; and whether subscriptions or remote assistance are needed.
Transport, storage and running time
Plan space for the robot and its equipment, suitable protective packaging, charging time and the manufacturer’s storage instructions. Check battery transport requirements before arranging travel or a return.
A named route to help
Name the technical provider and agree setup, training, fault diagnosis, response hours, repair location, return freight and warranty handling. Record what is included and what costs extra.
Parts and total cost
Check the exact replacement part, evidence of fitment, availability and who may install it. Itemise delivery, import charges where relevant, software, accessories and support alongside the robot price.

This is a package-planning service. Included equipment, price, delivery and support are confirmed in writing before an order.

Expectations / your working setup

Is your workplace ready for this robot?

For Unitree As2-W, confirm these five points against the exact hardware, software and task in your quote. Published specifications elsewhere on this page are a starting point; your working setup still needs to be agreed.

Status: configuration and site checks required. An unanswered question means unconfirmed, not unsuitable.

01 / Where will it charge — and when?

Confirm the approved UK charger or mains supply, location, measured runtime under the intended load, charge time and any supported battery-swap arrangement. Fit charging and checks around the working day. A maximum runtime claim is not a shift plan.

02 / What keeps working if the internet drops?

Separate onboard control, a local computer and cloud services. Ask what happens if Wi-Fi, internet or the external computer fails, and what is needed to recover. Confirm setup, normal operation, task software, updates and fleet tools separately.

03 / Does workplace information leave the premises?

Ask about video, audio, maps, logs and training data: where they go, who can see them, retention and deletion, and whether uploads can be disabled without losing the required function.

04 / Can the supplier access or operate it remotely?

Distinguish diagnostics, camera access, updates and motion control. Agree permission, named accounts, time limits, logs and a way to revoke access. Confirm the support route if remote access is not allowed.

05 / What else must we provide and pay for?

List computers, controllers, networking, grippers, safety equipment, licences, subscriptions, training and human supervision. Name the support provider and agree response times, warranty handling and repair arrangements. Richard can coordinate; specialist technical support must be agreed with a capable provider.

Understand who is doing what

Remote control

A person directs the robot. This can be a useful demonstration or research tool, but requires an operator.

Programmed task

The robot repeats a prepared sequence. Objects, positions and the work area may need to stay consistent.

Autonomous task

The robot makes defined decisions within a tested task and environment. Check its limits, supervision and recovery when something goes wrong.

Manufacturer films show particular tasks and configurations. Confirm the operating mode, software and operator involvement for the application you are considering.

01 / WHEELS AND LEGS

Two ways to move.

The platform has 16 actuated degrees of freedom and 7-inch wheels. Wheel rolling and leg movement work together; the quoted maximum speed is a special operating point.

Plan the space.

Body dimensions are a starting point. Moving joints, handling, attachments and a clear operating area need additional room.

06 / FROM HARDWARE TO A USEFUL PROJECT

Start with a task
you can test.

Research comparing rolling and walking movement.

Write down what success looks like, which data or controls you need, and who will build and support the software. A capable robot and a complete working application are different purchases.

01Define the outcome

A specific task, environment, payload and measurable result.

02Agree the access

The exact firmware, APIs, examples and development permissions.

03Specify the package

Robot revision, tools, sensors, power, setup and support.

07 / LIFE WITH THE ROBOT

A complete decision.
A clearer first step.

Our starting points below are selection notes. Final suitability depends on the exact package, the task and the people responsible for it.

01

The supplied kit

Get an itemised packing list covering the robot revision, battery, charger and UK mains arrangement, controller, tools, sensors and computing. Images can show optional equipment.

02

The first session

Plan the operating area, supervision, stopping procedure and setup. Follow the actual supplied manual and allow time for familiarisation before a public demonstration.

03

Running costs

Include spare batteries, charging, software accounts, network charges and maintenance in the plan. Confirm which functions depend on external services.

04

Support after delivery

Agree who diagnoses faults, where repairs happen, who pays freight, which genuine parts are available and how long software support is expected.

Where we would start

  • Research comparing rolling and walking movement.
  • Payload and route trials in controlled environments.
  • A defined sensing project that benefits from mixed terrain mobility.

Before we recommend an order

  • Confirm the exact hardware, software and included equipment.
  • Define a practical test of the intended task.
  • Agree UK delivery, setup, support and the complete price.

08 / PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Before you choose.

Can it carry 150 kg while moving?

Standing load and walking payload are different measures. The table lists about 16 kg continuous walking payload.

Will it climb 80 cm stairs?

The detailed table separates 30 cm stair climbing from a 0.4–0.8 m maximum obstacle climb. They are not interchangeable.

Is the UK app feature set confirmed?

No. Regional functions and network requirements should be confirmed for the exact supplied firmware.

What is the Robodromo UK price?

Price on application

Can I order it from Robodromo now?

UK supply arrangements, availability, pricing and delivery will be confirmed before orders are offered. Supplier appointments are subject to written agreement.

START WITH THE IDEA.

What would you
do with a As2-W?

Tell us the task, the space and the development access you need. We can use that brief to investigate a suitable configuration and supply route.
